PDFScanner - Scanning and OCR App Reviews

Now I have a new problem!

I have been going through the documents I have been saving over the past few years and after scanning them I am sending them to the circular filing cabnet. This in turn has caused a new problem. What to do with the old classic (but now becoming empty) filing cabnets I now have? I am gladly exchanging the old one for the new problem. I no longer have trouble finding where I filed a document (at least for those I have scanned).

Great Program

One of the best programs I have had the pleasure to use. It’s directness and simplicity are at the base of the five star rating I gave. I purchased other, and expensive, programs, that cound not do what PDF Scanner did.

Best scanner and OCR there is.

Creates OCR with 100% accuracy—every time. I found PDFScanner out of necessity, and I’ve never looked back and never been disappointed. I fumbled through multiple free versions of OCR software then took the plunge with a well-known $100 “professional” version of a PDF-creation-via-scanning and PDF management software. It worked okay, until I had a project that required absolutely perfect OCR. The final product was maybe 70% accurate. I complained to the developer, and they recommended I wait a couple of days for a newer version. When that arrived it required a $50 upgrade fee, and I’d only had my $100 version a couple of months. I thought it might be worth looking around first to see what else was out there, and that’s when I found PDFScanner. It rendered the OCR of that first project with 100% accuracy. PDFScanner is absolutely incredible and deserves at least 5 stars. I jush wish there was an iOS version.

A must-have program!

I have been using PDFScanner for a couple of years now on all of my Macs. The program is great and simple to use. Recently, I bought a new printer which was having problems with the program. I reached out to the developer and within 24 hours he responded with a fix. I truly appreciate it.

Good

I like this app very much. I scan my text book chapters using this app. It allows me to quickly look up material in a pinch. It can also OCR pdfs on your computer. Has crashed a few times.

Its the bomb

Dowmload the app, fire it up and it works. It finds my printer on my wireless network, scans piles of documents seamlessly and is simple to configure. Ive been using it to send large documents to various folks and it has yet to fail: nough said.
